Fitness Assessment

$50 per person

Ideal for individuals looking to understand their current physical capabilities.
Includes: 1 hour assessment with a Certified personal trainer.

($50 fee will be deducted from a training package purchased within 1 week)

Fairwinds Wellness Club offers a variety of personal training options to suit your fitness goals:

One Hour with our certified  Personal Trainer

  • 1 HOUR TRIAL SESSION – $70
  • 3 SESSIONS – $195
  • 8 SESSIONS – $480
TANDEM TRAINING FOR TWO

• Four x 1 HOUR SESSIONS – $160 per person

Tandem training is a great way to get fit with a spouse or a friend. Having another person can provide motivation and accountability that you may be lacking and needing.

SPEED SESSIONS

30 minutes with our Certified personal trainer

  • Trial session  $50
  • 3 sessions    $140
  • 8 sessions   $320

*All rates are per person, subject to applicable taxes and may change without notice.

Cancellation Policy

A 24 hour notice to cancel fitness assessments and personal training sessions is required, or the session will be forfeited. A doctor’s note may be requested.

Meet Our Trainers

Registered Personal Trainer

Sharon Fleming

Since 1988, Sharon has been recognized as a Registered Personal Trainer through the BC Recreation and Parks Association and the IDEA World Fitness Association. She takes pride in continually furthering her education through national and international conferences. 

Other qualifications Sharon holds include:

  • Diploma in fitness and nutrition
  • Athletic drills
  • Stability ball training
  • Stretching & flexibility – Body Bar
  • Training female athletes – BOSU® Ball

Prior to joining the team at Fairwinds, Sharon operated her own training business for over 10 years in the Lower Mainland before relocating to the Oceanside area. During that time, she worked as a conditioning coach for elite soccer, hockey and softball teams and the Richmond Country Club, as well as training personal clients and small groups.  

Adventures are Sharon’s passion. She enjoys leading groups on kayaking, hiking, snowshoeing, zip-lining, and bike touring trips, both locally and internationally. She participates in running events, adventure races, ice hockey, and fundraising activities. With an emphasis on creating fun, realistic, and manageable programs, Sharon strives to motivate you in your personal goals for fitness.

Jordan Freeman

Having grown up in Nanoose Bay, Jordan loves absolutely every activity the area has to offer, especially golf, hiking, skiing, and all sports water-related.  Playing basketball and rep hockey until the age of 18, Jordan suffered more than his fair share of sport injuries. As a result, he came to learn how helpful physiotherapy could be, and was inspired to pursue a career in the rehabilitation field.

Jordan holds a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of the Fraser Valley. Shortly after graduation, he decided to come back home to the Island. Working in multiple rehab clinics both in the Fraser Valley and Nanaimo has given him a strong foundation in, and passion for, exercise prescription.

Jordan believes that a trainer should be thought of as an extraordinarily useful means for achieving one’s goals. One of his favourite quotes is “Whether or not you think you can do it, you’re right”. The effectiveness of even the best personal trainer relies to a large degree on the motivation of her/his client. In order to inspire that motivation, Jordan tries his best to keep the atmosphere of his sessions lighthearted, which also means you’ll have some fun along the way. Together, he is confident that you will not only build up and reach your goals, but provide the framework for you to maintain your goals going forward.
